Since version 3, BaccS got very flexible Analytics module, which allows not only use pre-defined reports, but easily create own reports, exchange them with other users and get quick access to all reports using context system. Context system means, that if some report is linked with some type of data (for example, a report which displays overdue invoices is linked with invoices, while report which displays margin in a specified period is linked with jobs), then this report will be displayed in the navigation tree right inside corresponding entity type. Look at the following screenshot:

There is one custom report called 'Stat by words'. It displays number of translated words by specialization in a context of language combination. As the index which is displayed in this report is calculated on the base of jobs table, this report was automatically added under Translation jobs - Analysis node in the navigation tree. All newly created or added reports will be added to the corresponding nodes automatically. At the same time, you can view all existing reports by selecting Reports - Analysis in the navigation tree:

Double click on any report to view it.

Analysis module allows to present data in two modes - as pivot table (see screenshot) or as a chart.

To create a new analysis report, click New button on the ribbon. Give any name to a report and select Data type, which will be a base table to get analytical data from. You will find all types of data used in BaccS in this list. For example, let's select Translation job detail row. After that, click Bind analysis data button on the ribbon. Data fields will be retrieved from the database and displayed in the pivot table:

Drag fields to different areas of the pivot table to display desired results. Pivot table has 4 areas: Filter area (all fields are added there automatically), Value area (top left area), Columns area and Rows area. In the example above we've put Quantity field to the Values area, Work type - to the Rows area and Unit - to the Columns area. Quantity value is displayed in the table where analysis fields are crossed.

If to switch to the Chart tab, you may build a chart based on the same data. Right click on the chart panel and select Chart wizard. You will see extensive wizard which allows to configure generated chart in detail. Try to experiment to achieve the desired results. More detailed information about chart wizard can be found in the Dashboard module article. This module provides much more interesting features to build custom charts, while Analysis module is a kind of "quick view" tool.
